Corovent Emergency Lung Ventilator is an emergency lung ventilation device designed for patients with severe respiratory conditions due to the Covid-19 pandemic. It is comparable in its characteristics to ventilators used in intensive care units. It was developed by a team from the Faculty of Biomedical Engineering of the Czech Technical University in Prague which is
involved in research of lung ventilators for last 25 years. Ventilator is constructed from commercially available or manufactured components which all come from the European Union.

The operation of the device is easy and intuitive in compliance with latest evidence-based medicine. Hence, the medical personnel do not need to get used to any new operating procedures or take part in a long training.
Certification:
Device passed all tests required by the EU for using the ventilators during pandemic times and obtained also the EN 60601-1
medical electrical equipment certification. Thorough tests and requirements for CE mark are ongoing.
